Marco here, saw you in game. Cool stuff. Found my deviant art account. Havnt put anyting on it for like half a decade but its nice seeing some old work I did.
You have some nice lines and details in your work. The colours are also stunning. Suggestions is that the anatomy and perspective can be a bit weak at times. The zebra for example has rear legs longer then the front.
Really think you should start going for 2d flash animation and get your hands dirty. Create some of your crazy concepts into a video and post them on newgrounds to be torn apart by no lifers. Harsh critism really fuels creativity.

I quit smoking, thats basically lasted all of this year.
I'm ok, just get kinda up and down nowadays, no more excessive singing in public or manic grinning for no good reason... so basically I'm like adjusting to being normal or something I dunno

LoL! Didn't realise it was you, so funny coz obviously I thought you were just a random "deviant" with an awesome name, but its really cool that I met you and said at the time you kinda reminded me of the alternative girl in my drawing and then there you are: "Alternative Girl" from deviantART.
No, I never thought you were stealing my deviation name so don't worry about that, I'm just impressed that it wasn't already taken when you made your account. But yeah, I myself kinda stole the name, technically, from the ReeL BiG FiSH song but at the end of the day its a fairly common expression, unfortunately not that many girls ACTUALLY qualify! Grrr!

ok, so I read this article in a newspaper the other day about the online game/community Second Life, it doesn't really matter if you've heard of it or not the point is I tore out this segment from it which I shall now quote "contempory urge to project ourselves into every story, to wirte our own emotions larger than anyone else's, to perform rather than to listen, to blog rather than to read" it just got me thinking about online communities in general and (finally getting to the point) this Silent-Group I/we were talking about, it's the kind of thing talked about in this quote that I want the group to be opposed to (sort of) don't get me wrong I'm all for freedom of expression, but sometimes I feel it lacks purpose, particularly online, put another way, it is noisy and colourful for the sake of noise and colour as opposed to for the sake of what is trying to be expressed. Uh... sorry about the rant, just something to think about.
Also, do you actually know how to set up a group coz I have no idea...?

Exactly, I'm glad you see my point, like I am generally quite a happy person and I really love using this site as a way to express myself, but there is SUCH a difference between, self expression and self promotion or self projection, it shouldn't be about making yourself feel better by trying to expose and display yourself in the "best" possible way with the most colour and flashiness, it MUST be about being completely honest and expressing the bad stuff as well as the good, showing yourself as you really are and being, as you say, encouraged to do so. In this way we can create a community with some integrity, unlike sites like myspace which have become so cheapened by commercialism (sorry if you like/use the site, it's just how I feel about it)

wow! Thank you very much, I don't think I've ever had something I said be refered to as "eye opening" before, I am very flattered though probably undeservingly so. It's just my humble opinion.
I too actually have a myspace, but I pretty much stopped using since it seems to have become "flooded" with bands promoting themselves and I can't seem to click onto a profile without hearing some music from someone or other! It just kinda bugs me... not sure exactly why.
