In April 2005, I was driving to the bank, when I noticed some exotic birds walking in a small field along the road. I pulled into a nearby gas station and parked my car, then made my way through the marshy field to take a series of photos of what was a Sandhill Crane family. I've posted these as the first images in my new deviantart gallery. It was a treat for me to come across these birds, as I lived in a New York City highrise for many years before moving to Florida, and never encountered exotic birds there.
