But thank you!

Thank you for watching me, although I strongly disagree with your dismissal of the PS3. But you're a Blues Brothers fan, so you're forgiven.

I couldn't figure out how you knew I loved the Blues Brothers and then I looked in my gallery, also known as The Place Where No Artist Should Venture, and there was a crapload of artwork I don't even remember uploading. Awesome. That was quite a long and unnecessary explanation...
Continuing on with my super long message...
Sooo the first time I went to your page after stumbling across your "Destiny Lass Comic" there was a...potato with eyes and a mouth? Alright. That was cool. And then I went back today and then I scrolled down a bit (guess there was a glitch with the potato face yesterday...) and I saw you webcamp picture. Okay. Alex. You might want to sit down for this. I. Work. With. You. *cues Phantom of the Opera music*
Setting that aside...your art is pretty awesome. Not gonna lie.
I need to stop writing but I can't!
Stalked your PS3 gamer card (even though the 360 is better). Assassin's Creed II, Arkham Asylum, Ghostbusters, Mirror's Edge, Red Dead Redemption, and Spider Man Shattered Dimensions. Nice ones. I have those. Same games. But I have a better platform. ^.^
Okay. Now this message is getting creepy so I'm going to leave now....holy crap I work with you. O.O

I usually listen to The Buzz on the rare occasions I listen to the radio. Most of the other times I rock out in the car to mix CDs titled things like "Bathtub Full of Koi," "Revenge of Marsupial Clyde," "Taste of Fear," and "Dying In a Car Fire."

I'm not friends with anyone from work because...I'm unfriendly?
I like Katy Perry, but hate Ke$ha. The first time I saw her was on Saturday Night Live, and I started laughing and couldn't stop because I thought she was a sketch. And then I realized she was a real act, and I died a little inside.
But I just friended and responded to you on FB, so I am now +1. You: 396, Me: 1

You aren't friendly...I disapprove...strongly. You should be friendly. I mean I see you at work and you're standing there with your arms crossed. Bad job! But you're nice...I guess. >.< Be friendly!
Katy Perry is oookaaay but you learn to hate her songs when they play them every other song. Ke$ha can't sing. Like....seriously. I wanted to rip my ears off and tear her throat out. Is that a bit extreme? Probably not.
Oh snaaap. You just upped the ante. Its a close race, you're only 395 away. It will be a huge upset if you win.
I think you adding me on Facebook is like a plus 50....hmm. Okay. You get +50 and a cookie. Sound fair?

I imagine Katy would get annoying on infinite replay...another reason I don't listen to the radio.
As for my friendliness...I'm shy and insecure and often need more time than "real life" gives me to come up with something clever to say. So I'm not unfriendly on purpose.

You cannot be insecure....you're....you're too cool. O.O Yeah. I take like five years to come up with something clever to say; most people get offended by my sarcasm. I should tone that down...just a bit. Anyway. Wow I say that a lot; wow I also digress a lot. You're too cool, though! ALEX! TOO COOL! Its like your coolness is too much for me to handle. My brainhurts...muh brayn hurts!!! (huh. I hope you get that reference).
Well. Okay. I forgive you. I always feel like waving to you when it gets slow at night because you're just standing there and its depressing you have to be all cooped up in The Pit. Maybe I'll just walk over and talk to you instead. ^.^ Epiphany!
Jeebus! I need to stop rambling! You can condense everything into like....2 sentences and I take like....I was going to count how many sentences went into this note but a lot of them are fragments. Darn.

Slovman In reply to sparkleblue [2010-11-23 01:35:14 +0000 UTC]
The great thing about the English language is that once you know the rules, you can disregard them whenever it suits you. So fragment away! Fragment...today! Me, I was contaminated by writing for the school newspaper in my youth. One learns a very concise style because one has very little space to get a point across.
(I don't catch the reference, but I have way too many references rattling around in here. Just say "We're on a mission from God" or "I hate Illinois Nazis" and I'll know we're on the same page.)
But I'm glad someone thinks I'm cool. My mom doesn't even think I'm cool.
Sarcasm is also part of my problem. So much of what I'd say would sound mean to most people, especially the ugly fat-asses of the world. See? That was horrible. But I meant it with all my love. And ugly fat-asses need the most love!

sparkleblue In reply to Slovman [2010-11-23 01:55:45 +0000 UTC]
Yess. I'm not the only one rambling! My mom is a writer so she hates it when I talk in random rambling sentences that make no sense. Its barrels of fun to watch her fume. Plus I write like....hmm....like two 4-page essays every month for da schoolz so I need to get my improper English out of my system before I put a random ellipse in the middle of one of the body paragraphs.
Monty Python's Flying Circus is where that reference came from. [link] I enjoy Britt comedy...but this just seems silly.
Our Lady of Blessed Acceleration, don't fail me now!!
But...you're cool. I can't fathom that some people think you're uncool. See! You made your text italicized by using codes that I'm too lazy to type out. That is cool.
I laughed out loud at that last comment. Seriously it was a bark of intensely loud and painful laughter and now my throat hurts and my dog is staring at me. Thanks for that.
Then again, some people don't get my sarcasm which sucks. I have some stupid friends, but I guess that's why I love them.

Well our first hour teacher lets us eat food in class so I brought cereal one day. The look on her face was amusing to say the least. Hmmm. AP Spanish, AP History, Video Productions, Chemistry, AP English, Algebra II, Church and Creed. Be jealous of the classes. BE JEALOUS! Most of my teachers are boring and I usually sleep/doze/play on my phone cleverly hidden in my pencil bag. Uugghh.
Customer Service sounds artarded and you should just be a cashier instead. I wanted to work in the C.S. for a while but now that I saw some woman bitching you out because of some barbecued chicken getting all over her magazine (which I sacked, btdubs, but HEY! she told me to just put it all in one bag...not my fault) I'd rather not deal with it.

Muh sister got a full ride to the UNM through the Regents Scholar award thing and they like giving it to family members so I can hopefully get it. Hermm...the tuition is super cheap and I met with one of the professors over the summer who seemed pretty excited I was already looking at colleges. After most of the questions I asked she would say something like "Well aren't you informed?" Huhhh. As to answer your actual question, I just like history+the outdoors+I want to travel the world. Oh! And I like swimming so underwater archaeology could become a specialty for me (do I hear Atlantis or El Dorado calling me?). If I get to become a professor I'll probably focus on Latin America (where I'm going for 2 months this summer to collaborate with a community for a service project with two other volunteers my age. Speaking of which, I have fruit sales I have to make so if you want to buy some, please do. Anyway off on this little shpeal while we're here: Amigos is intense. We live with host families and no one in the community speaks English. Ergo, I'm gonna die because I suck at Espanol.) and then Europe (mostly Scotland or Ireland, maybe Italy). BAM! The end.

I have heard that complete immersion in a language is the "easiest" way to learn it, so as long as you've got a handle on the very basics: "Hello," "Goodbye," "Where is the bathroom," "Why is my food still moving?" then you'll be okay.
