Same here, but it was kind of my only option, and I rather be Navy than Marines or Army any day. Plus they pay for a lot things, and I get to see the world, and work with fighter jets and weapons! I'm giddy just thinking about it.

A friend of mine tried to go into the Marines, but he had a wonky shoulder, so partway through training they discharged him.

Not really, so long as it's in another country. I guess China! Yeah the Marines are VERY picky and BRUTAL, can he try the army or navy? A lot easier workouts.

I don't know if he ever tried another branch, but I think he gave up on the idea of the military. I lost contact with him, but last I saw him he was still a civilian.

China would be cool- tons of history there.

Of course, I'm getting really attached to Pierre, I think he's a great character- in fact, I'm kinda sad about this round, because no matter what happens, I loose a deviantdead character to cheer for.

Thanks, and yeah, that's the sad thing about those contests, however, it's nice to see that a lot of characters "continue to live on" in other artist's stories.
