thanks, I was quite lazy to config it, so it was quite fast feature test. But now I can probe it properly with your tool.
I tried once, but plasma felt more comfy maybe even faster, except cutomization which is nightmare. I am kind of disappointed of kde5, so I will give be.shell a chance again. I have tried many desktop configurations, compositions, but to me the winner is a single slim bottom panel (ala windows95) and a dashboard with time, calendar, weather and notes, which is probably possible to recreate with be.shell. Also I enjoy global notificator in plasma, you can watch/control file transfers and other operations from that icon.

i wrote skutter for be.shell: fav.me/d8vxxp0 (shameless self promotion there) which can be extended with plugin code : rss fav.me/d8w7ixv and imap fav.me/d8z9kfw . I no longer have a working copy of be.shell so no new development but it seems the shell is being ported to Qt5.
Also, despy is updated.
