nono, totally free. It's part of deviant art.
Just go to the Forum tab and then "thumbshare". But basically you look for a topic asking for your work, and post thumbnails of your work. You'll get comments, favorites, views. It's a great way to get feedback on your work and also get known.
To post a "thumbnail" you go to one of you your pictures and somewhere below the image should be something like :thumb127201054: you post that into the forum and it will make a small clickable image linking to your art.
