I don't think he meant your work in particular, I think he was just saying that people who "want" a DD don't get them solely for wanting it. While this is true half the time, I'm sure people can want a DD AND have awesome work to get it. It's not like they are two seperate things.

You know it really sucks for people think they deserve a DD, especially when quite clearly they dont and they're work is of a low standard. As well as the fact that what you put in is what you get out. You don't get DD's just because you want one. You have to earn it.

Great work Cornzee. I like your style. Nice use of color. Compositions could use some work, but other than that, you've got it good. I wonder how long you've been shooting for.

Ive loved photography since i was a small child, my dad's always had a camera around us. I only really started to take a big interest in it November 2004 when i got bought my own camera. Up until then i had just enjoyed looking at others images. So without trying to be arrogant but all of the ability i have now is due to a natural talent (as well as a year of practice now of course).
As for the whole DD thing, i was quite fed up when i read that, so the comment was slightly OTT, however, having said that, i really despise people who suggest themselves for DD's. I genuinly feel they have to be earned and cannot just be requested to boost the attention for one's self.
I think DD's should only go to those underappreciated too. Thats what i think they're there for, to share limelight with others and not just the really great artists.
And as for my approach to getting a DD. Well i see it like this, a DD would bring me large quanitites of attention but for a very short period of time. It gives a small, sharp boost. It would be a delight and i would be over the moon. However, i know thaqt chances of it happening are very slim and one can only persevre and not in the hope of getting a DD but rather in the hope of feeling self-fulfilled with what has been achieved on my own.
I may be watching back. Ill see how everything goes.

Well said on your views of daily deviations bro.
I'll give you some background on where I stand as a photographer.
I am a photographer, have been for 6 years now. Never had a proper course in it, but for some reason I seem to do outstandingly well in city, county, and state competition. I've even placed in national competition. On top of that, I freelance for the city's only paper and head photography in my schools journalism department. All I have done now is due to natural talent, and about 6 years of experience, haha.
