βSusan strong is actually Gumball and Fionaβs daughter. This explains the pink-tint to her skin, which would otherwise be very pale because she spent the majority of her life underground. The reason she lived in Beautopia was because Gumball had sent her, Fionna and Cake to live there so that they wouldnβt be infected by an outbreak of the Zombie Plague. In an attempt to hide the hatch to enter the underground realm, he chopped down all the trees around it. This becomes apparent when PB tells Finn that her βgreat uncle Gumball chopped down all these trees in one nightβ in the episode Susan Strong. Unfortunately, Gumball was infected by the plague. Peppermint Butler, who has close ties with death was immune and slowly cured and rebuilt the Candy Kingdom. However, some zombies, Prince gumball included, managed to find their way underground to Beautopia. The Hyoomans were able to hide in the water, and saved Susan as well by floating her alongside on a raft. Fionna and cake were not so lucky. Fionna was devoured, which is why you can see her skull on the outskirts of the city in the episode βBeautopiaβ. Cake became infected though, which dulled her fur. She pursued Susan, but the Hyoomans killed her. They gave Susan cakeβs stuffed corpse to wear as a reminder of her herritage. Marshal Lee, as someone said in another theory, went insane at the loss of Fiona and became the Lich. As the zombies in Beautopia grew more and more consumed by the virus, they became what is known to the Hyoomans as Lubb Glubs. Ice Queen fled the island of Ooo to protect herself from the plague. She had only lived there a short amount of time, because she had no luck on finding her fiancΓ©. She had begun her search only a year after he left, when the very same Scandinavian traders that gave Simon the crown uncovered a matching tiara and sold it to her. After she left Ooo,Ice king moved in and took control, unaware that he had just barely missed his Betty. Peppermint Butler told him the tales of Fionna and Cake, so that he would know some recent history of the area. Lumpy Space Prince, as said in that other theory, became Lumpy Space King and had a daughter named Lumpy Space Princess. Lord Monochromacorn was an albino Rainicorn, and lacked color. He was shunned for his difference, and with Gumball no longer there to encourage him, and the death of his girlfriend Cake, he became depressed and returned to the farthest reaches of the crystal dimension. At this time, Marceline and Ash were living in the treehouse. They had not yet broken up. Meanwhile, Peppermint Butler went to Beautopia to retrieve the infected Prince Gumball. He was beyond perfect reconstruction, so Peppermint Butler used his DNA to create Princess Bubblegum. A few years lated, Susan fell in love with a Hyooman. They had a child that received both parentβs half-human genes, and neither the gum gene, nor the fish-mutation gene. He was the first full human born on the island of Manhattan since it broke away from the mainland of New York during a bombing of the Mushroom war. His name was Finn. Susan, treated like an outcast by the Hyoomans, knew that Finn wouldnβt fit in. She left him in the forest where Fionna and Cake met, in hopes that he would be raised by a family like Cakeβs. She was in luck, because Jakeβs Mother and father ran across him and took him in. They raised him for ten years, until Jakes Mother finally passed away. (Jakeβs father was killed by the final monster in the dungeon he built for Finn.) Marceline, distraught by her breakup with Ash, left the treehouse, leaving it open for Finn. They found it and moved in shortly after. Ice King began to notice similarities between Fin and Jake and Fionna and Cake. He told them the girlsβ stories, not knowing that Finn was her grandson. When Finn started showing emotions towards Princess Bubblegum, she was conflicted because, in a sense, she was his grandparent And she was six years older than him at the time. (Ironically, she knitted him a sweater.) When she became a child again, she knew that Finn would try to get her to fall in love. She ordered Peppermint Butler to summon Earl of Lemongrab to keep them separate, so that Finn wouldnβt be hurt by her rejection. However, he didnβt quite understand his job, and didnβt lock them in the dungeon immediately. PB had Finn help her prank him so that he would. By the time she turned back, she gave up fighting it and kissed Finn, but when she became the proper age, she tried to play it off. In fact, she tried to avoid any contact with him (like in the Valentineβs Day special, when he laid his head on her lap). The majority of the characters in Adventure Time are relatives to the characters in Adventure Time with Fionna and Cake.β
