Aww, thanks! It's not a patch on yours though. I really love your painting of the TARDIS exploding. Epic stuff! And your pencil drawings are amazing too.
Yeah! Here, have a bowtie to go with your coolness.

I love your icon. I just knitted Seven's vest this summer.

You did? -explodes- ... not that I should be surprised, I'm just over halfway on mine.
Do you have photos of it anywhere? Love your design ideas for Femme!Seven too, by the way; have you got that put together yet?

Yep! Well it's almost all the way together, I need a parasol, better shoes, and a paisley scarf still but I've worn it out. I have some pics on Facebook, they should work since I think I have everything set to open. [link] !/album.php?aid=201346&id=682450811
I'm not entirely happy with the vest but I didn't use a pattern so I guess that's what I get. I should have done the ribbing longer and started the v for the neck earlier.

Well yeah, there is no pattern out there, so you're on your own. The math alone made me consider buying a replication from someone else.
But hey, I love your costume! The skirt is great! I see what you mean about the ribbing and I'm wondering about mine now... I think I just got impatient to start the main body.
I'm knitting my vest in two pieces; there are photos of the front half (minus pockets) here [link] Still working on the rest of the costume, but I have pants, tie and jacket that will at least do the job.

I could have used a pattern for a regular old sweater vest though but I winged it. It looks like you are using a smaller yarn than me. I just used worsted acrylic.

theoryofeverything In reply to Irridescent [2010-09-08 23:22:28 +0000 UTC]
Wow, I definitely couldn't have winged itβ have you made that style of vest before? I've based mine off of several patterns; the theory's simple enough you can just take bits of each and run with it.
Yeah, I maybe should have used acrylic, but it would have just about killed me to. (Such a snob I am!) I'm using Jamison's Shetland, which is, er... as you say, smaller than worsted.

I made a Slytherin house sweater vest a few years ago and I sort of had a look at that while I was knitting the Seven vest.
