I love your costume designs and I was just wondering do you draw them freehand or do you use croquis.

Most of my designs are done freehand, although a few (such as my recent Music Man designs) are done with a croquis (I use a Hokey Croquis Sketchbook). For most of my designs I need to do them freehand to make them large enough to present at production meetings. I use a croquis if I need a design done fast. I used to... about 10 years ago. I guess you'd say I'm now the resident costume designer/scenic designer/production designer for Mani. I've been doing all the musicals and a few of the plays since 2005.
