Everything is a real choice except Microsoft haha. But I do not like Mac because their advertising is unethical. They act like Windows is the only thing that can run on a PC and so they are helping Microsoft keep people ignorant from Linux, Unix and all of the other OSes.

Keep people ignorant is necessary for mantain commerce of OS.

Microsoft say: "Vista are Better!!" and ignorants say: "Oh True!!" then ingnorants pay for Vista with joy.

Apple say:"MacOS are really better!!" then pay for FreeBSD and a normal PC...

Linus Torvalds say: "i work for a better OS" and Linux Users work with Linus... but dont pay!

Nothing in life is free -- but money is not the only form of payment. Things are paid with time. patience. effort. tolerance. research. learning. working. blood. sweat. tears. sanity. and many many other things.

People are so hung up on thinking that money is the only thing a person can put into something to earn it. Not true!

Millions of us research. Billions of us do not. But, the world is slowly waking up. This is being forced. Things that are more productive are more and more favored with the passage of time. Both companies and individuals must adapt or die.

Such as the Recording Industry (for music) is near death -- because of the Internet and the people who decided they will no longer take the abuse. Now, many musicians break away from the Recording Industry and go independent. Now they make all of their money. All control of their copyright is their own. No more bullshit.

Plus -- regular people can rise up starting as Independent Artists. Cheap and in many cases free to do online.

This huge collection of corporations which runs this industry -- bankrupt now over $5 Billion in dept. They can not adapt to the needs of the people -- so they will die. They are dying.

With Operating Systems it is becoming the same situation -- just taking more time. But it is happening. Even Microsoft made their own Linux! Its true! They partnered with Novell to do it!

Microsoft was horrified when they found that the sales for Microsoft Linux did much better than for Microsoft Windows

Microsoft is too big with too many products people like to ever die. But Windows as an operating system -- on its death bed also. Win32 soon will be nothing more than a protocol used on other Operating Systems. Windows as an OS will be gone. I say ... 10 to 15 years. Maybe less. Windows will be dead.
