Hello!

Funny you should ask because I actually just made another Little Shop of Horrors wallet for a friend of mine. I decided that I wasn't really a fan of those nylon wallets anymore (the wallets themselves just didn't seem very durable) so I decided to experiment with some wallets made from some other materials. I've drawn on a canvas and leather wallet in the past and thought that that came out pretty well: whyamitheconvict.deviantart.co… I've also recently started using wallets that are made of Tyvek paper material because they are meant to be extremely durable and my illustrations really stand out against the white surface. The American Psycho wallet I just made was Tyvek: whyamitheconvict.deviantart.co… and also the Little Shop of Horrors wallet I just made for my friend: whyamitheconvict.deviantart.co… If you want I could make another wallet for you with this same theme, however since the wallets I am using now cost me $15 to buy and there is a little more room for illustrations and detail I've had to mark the price of the wallets up quite a bit. I have two cream canvas and leather Eddie Bauer in stock right now that cost me $15 and I could easily order another blank Dynomighty Tyvek wallet for $15 as well. Because of the time I put into the artwork now the total price for a custom wallet now would have to be $50, but like I said, it would also be much more durable and higher quality than my old ones. I am very interested, I am right now looking to get a job since I am in High school so I thought if I could note you when I have gotten enough money I can put in a commission. Is that alright if I do that, I don't want to sound like I am not interested anymore because I still love the design!

Yeah, and thanks! Originally I was selling about half of my purses on Etsy and half in a physical store that let me keep my stuff in there for free since I know the owner. I would say that both venues were about equal in sales, I'd sell one in the store then one on Etsy...it pretty much alternated. I no longer have my stuff up in that local store as of a couple months ago but my stuff still seems to be selling pretty well on Etsy alone. I've made around forty bags total to put up for sale since I started this venture and so far I have sold thirty-five of them (one I donated to a charity fundraiser and I still have four bags left in my Etsy shop.) When I list them in that $20-$50 price range they seem to have an excellent track record of selling. I seem to sell at least one bag a month, but it really depends on how many I am putting up for sale I guess. It's always good to have a variety of items at different prices for people to choose from. I would also make sure you buy your bags/wallets from secondhand, clearance or bulk sources so you can keep the cost of materials low. Ebay, hobby shops and thrift stores are great. Hope that helps!

Thanks so much for replying! I am attempting to get some art in a gallery this summer, and I've been looking for another way to make some money off of my art. And I thought this was a great idea when I saw your merchandise! I was thinking the same thing about the buying the bags at second-hand stores or in bulk! I really appreciate the advice, and I'll be sure to let you know if I start selling bags/wallets too!

I don't know if I remembered to hit the reply button when I responded to you on my profile...anyway, I now have some unpainted ears ready to go. Let me know if you want me to make some more werewolf ears and list them on Etsy. Like I said, all I have for sale currently is the ears with white fur but I can make the next pair any color.

Thanks! Currently I just have both color variations of noses and the white werewolf ears for sale in my Etsy shop. [link] The brown ears just sold but I could probably make some new ones or in some other color variety (essentially I can make them any color of skin or fur.) I would have to see if I could get a good deal on the materials like I did last time so I can still sell them for $25. It's convenient that it's getting closer to Halloween so at least I might not have to order stuff and pay shipping. If you're interested I can have a look for you.

Also, the nails were plain store bought glue ons from the beauty store that were of the long and curved variety. I cut the tips into points with scissors then painted all the nails in the pack so I'd have extras (they're a pain to wear and sometimes come off randomly so I carried nail glue with me.) I pretty much just loosely brushed a couple of colors of polish on them, like a dark purple and a black, then streaked a toothpick through the paint while it was still wet to get the texture.
