well, a quick reading of the tao of pooh was my introduction to it (other than the martial art movies). Found the proper tao te ching to be really complicated though.
I found your opinions really good, it shows where I had been going wrong in trying to compose haikus. But I have to admit I haven't read your full article yet. Will give a proper comment when done (don't wanna fave and run

Cool - I love the Tao of Pooh!!!! And yeah, the Tao Te Ching is difficult, but I think it is worth it. Has some great ideas in there. The yin-yang is important to me because it gave me another way of looking at logic (Western ideas of logic are based on contradiction and opposites, while Eastern logic is much more subtle).
Haiku are difficult to write considering the misconceptions which abound in highschools and poetry circles. If you write some let me know. I would love to see them.
Take your time with the article - its a bit too long for a single sitting read I think. I look forward to hearing what you think and what you write in response.

Well the main reason i didn't read it fully is because i'm supposed to be working right now 
And it's nice to meet someone who likes the tao of pooh! that book really meant a lot to me. read it properly when i was laid up in the hospital, sure helped me pass the time and think... a lot.
But yeah, had this thing of writing haikus and poems some time ago. trying to find some time for my paintings now, but for me they're about the same, i see a painting in a good poem or haiku and vice-versa.

Hahahaha - I get that!!! Yeah, I really love Winnie the Pooh in general, they are probably my favourite books (especially The House at Pooh Corner - that one is stunning - I read it once a year at least).
I like the idea of a painting being the same as a poem and vis-versa. For me a poem is that which needs you to imagine a painting (or a sound, a texture etc.), and a painting is the same - it invites you to hear its unspoken words.
