Weeelll, it's kinda dumb but I'll tell you anyways. You see, in my head, I believe that Randy is a reincarnation of the original ninja. For some reason or another, he died while protecting his land from the evil sorcerer (I think he probably died trying to seal him off, but didn't do it correctly thus why he is able to 'stank' people). While he was dead, his best friend's soul split in two, one half, falling asleep to wait for Randy's return, and the other, passing the nomicon down from ninja to ninja, a temporary fix. When Randy was reborn, the dormant powers that lay inside him awakened the sleeping part of Howard's soul and alerted him. Then, somehow, Howard also gets reincarnated. They both live their lives as normal teens, never remembering their past until long after Randy becomes the ninja again (That guy in the first episode hiding outside the window? Howard who has been passing the book down for centuries.). Then some confusing, yet totally bruce things happen on their quest to find their memories.
After all that is done, there are tons of things you can do with the idea, like:
Randy has to fight the sorceror, still alive mind you, off, until he dies or finally manages to seal him.Β
Randy becomes immortal, progressing until he has to protect the world instead of his high school.
Tons of other stuff I don't feel like typing.
Either way, Randy will always be the ninja, so no sad normal life or being just another chess piece in a war. Eh, it sounds weird doesn't it? I still like it though, you can do so many things with the little idea, it's so fun.

Wow, it reminds me of Bruce Lee for some reason. But it is interesting, also that would be awesome if Randy was a protector of some different places then just his school.

You cant wait for your senior year and the diploma in your hands, but on the other hand you dont want to lose the best years of your life.
