Description
This was my.....um..7-8th attempt to create a scene like this; a forest with tall pine trees (=Scots pine; included in Vue 7 but you can purchase it from Cornucopia), the setting or rising Sun behind the trees + sun rays....I used GR here, plus I added some more rays in CS4

But a Strong subject isn't always bad. I like the feel of it and I did get the feeling he was a strong guy. You see a lot of 'meek' characters in art, strong people are awesome xD

Hi! Congrats on the DD. I like the rays of light, and the trees are nice. The detail in the flowers makes me think it must have sucked to draw (you did draw it right? It isn't a photosplice?)
If you want a concrit, I'd say that the man in the picture looks like he had really stiff shoulders. xD
I might also make the light a little bit stronger around his head, drowning him out a little more. But that's more of a personal choice thing, for what you were going for.
I like it though. You certainly have talent. Keep up the good work.

no, I didn't draw anything; the scene was fully created in Vue 7 Infinite, plus I did some postwork on the lighting in CS4.
The man...um yeah, the character is a bit too massive for the scene, I know; but I didn't have any other 3D character so I had no other choice but put him there

I love this picture; the composition is brilliant and the perspective is fantastic. I love how the guy is silhouetted agaisnt the light beams; and the way the gold light contrasts agaisnt the darker forest. Very nice, and congrats on the DD!
