Description
This was my.....um..7-8th attempt to create a scene like this; a forest with tall pine trees (=Scots pine; included in Vue 7 but you can purchase it from Cornucopia), the setting or rising Sun behind the trees + sun rays....I used GR here, plus I added some more rays in CS4
Rendered in Vue 7 Infinite

This is 3D!?

I Wish i was half as good as this in 3Ds MAX

Tutorial on rays in CS4 please, because I own it at home, isn't it like near lens flare or, do you know a link where I can see many tut's, I know Deviantart has a LOT but I can't smart to look since it wouldn't help that my love has only Photoshop 7 @.@

um...tbh I haven't really checked any CS4 tutorials, so I can't really say anything but search Google ...for the lights I used one of these brushes [link] they work in PS7 and PS CS too
. I made a new layer for the beams and adjusted the scale, color, opacity etc...
sorry but I really don't know where to find a tutorial on the topic

I'm really glad there is a guy there, not a girl in flowing gown, really, because that would be terribly cliched. As it is, you have an original and wonderfully executed piece of art that makes you think about the story behind it.

wow, it's an amazing render! is the guy made using poser or is that with vue?? and 7th or 8th attempt?? perfectionist it does look really amazing though! onlt thing i would suggest just for a bit of critique would maybe not use a man... it looks a bit like the bulk of schwarzenegger lol. maybe use a femal in a skirt just to keep the kinda dreamy natural feel to the entire piece. but otherwise amazing

00AngelicDevil00 In reply to Only-truth [2009-01-04 13:59:28 +0000 UTC]
thank you ...yes, I'm a perfectionist >.< ...and not Poser, this guy was included in Vue's Extras CD; he's a low-poly .vob file called Dave
. And u r absolutely right; I wanna make a similar render with a female, but I still haven't found the right stock photo for it...and there's no female model in Vue that would fit.

lol, ooh thought it might have been tbh. you kinda want one of the ones where they're in a flowing gown and like running their hands through the flowers? tht's the kind of female i'd expect in something like this lol.

the idea is great, but I should learn a LOT MORE about photomanipulation to achieve this result
