Description grrrrr....after failing to render 3 scenes bcuz of the lack of memory, this one survived!!
funny though; in this summer I created a lot of nordic scenes with conifer trees etc..., now when summer has gone, I seem to get back to tropical scenes....see?? my world has turned upside down
...lol okay; so I was happy when Vue finished rendering without crashing ...I was working on this for "some" hours (though I'm not 100% satisfied with the result)

Rendered in Vue 6 Infinite

It's the small island next to the island of Tahiti Nui in French Polynesia.

Ah... it's always annoying when our render programs act like that , but I'm really glad to see this one survived:

Very nice day scene and setting, I especially like the tree-covered mountains in the distance, and the misty, rainforest-like setting.

I normally prefer making tropical scenery in Vue, but that seems to be the way, we make more "cold scenes" in Summer, probably because we want a nice cool down to come about...but when Winter shows it's ugly face, we just want to escape to Hawaii for 5 months

Since my computer has crappy memeory too, I've found a way to still render my scenes at big sizes (like 3000x4000px for example). I first set the render settings to that size, but then select a strip of the active window and render that selected area only (usually a quarter at a time as I make my way up) even if each strip takes hours, the final image would be of a good print-worthy size, though You would need Photoshop to assemble all the parts together and line them up to get the final image

hahhaha I want to escape to a subtropical place forever
What are your system specifications? I want to upgrade mine in a few days but I wanna buy stuff I can use not only for a few months ...btw I tried to render a scene I couldn't render in 12 pieces, but it ran out of memory whil rendering the 3rd part ...so I have no other choice but to upgrade my config.

Lol, my area is almost Subtropical, but Winter is just that bit too cold for out area to be classified that, it's more like a "warm-temperate" climate...Though the next closest capital city to Sydney is up north, slightly closer to the equator and thats a subtropical climate (and a popular tourist detsination too, I've been there tons of times and want to live there lol)

System specifications? well, the processor I wouldn't know since I've never looked into that, but whatever processor that a default Windows XP comes with would be it lol (and I can't imagine they would put in the most powerful one, since how many laptop buyers would be doing 3D art on their comp? most just do business stuff and Microsoft Word will probably be the most memory-hungry program they'll use ) as for RAM, I had 512MB of it, but went to 1GB about a year ago...just for that little "boost" (would have gotten more if I could afford it) But Vue crashes on me a lot too...it's guaranteed to crash at least once per-scene

Well I work with only 2 GB RAM, an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU and a NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT (1024 MB) graphics card. 2 gigs of RAM is really not enough, so I'll get 4 gigs in a few days (and a new motherboard cuz my current one is compatible with only 2 gis =\\) ...and in a few months I'll get a quadcore CPU too
