What are you doing here and so... alone?

In my childhood I grew up with YouTube videos of the lion king that showed random images of Fan arts with a song by a famous singer, I remember that I met Kopa thanks to these videos which, the titles said "the story of Kopa" or " the true story of Kopa". These videos were just sequences of images that mostly came from here from famous artists. Always with the context of Kopa, the first son of Simba and Nala who falls in love with his "best friend", the lioness Vitani, but Zira (Scar's faithful follower) in an act of revenge against Simba "attacks him and then kills him cold-blooded", or so she thinks. Kopa survives the attack and flees his home, but years later, he returns, becomes king of the pridelands, and eventually has children with Vitani.

I later found out that Kopa came from a technically non-canon series of books in the Lion King universe. I felt disappointed (to give you an idea I felt like when you discover that there is no Santa Claus). I literally believed a lie thanks to those videos. Before that, she was convinced that the reason Simba exiled Zira from the pride lands was because he killed her son. I also believed this second lie thanks to the YouTube videos, with the theories that were justified thanks to the sequel to the lion king, where Simba over-protects Kiara for the death of her eldest son, or when Zira gives her son to Kovu for Simba to kill him and so they are "at hand". Years later, the theory was disproved thanks to the series "The Lion Guard", which showed the true reason why Zira was exiled from the pridelands

But hey, the Fan history of this character is interesting, even though he is not Canon.

-As you can see, I've created my own Prince Kopa design, I've been thinking of giving it a peculiar story, although I'm still working on it. His colors are inspired by his ancestors. At first, I wanted his eyes to be blue (like Nala's), but I decided to make his eyes green, as a legacy from Scar.

Anyway, I was inspired by some of Zira's poses from The Lion King sequel. Also, I used some Simba cub poses from the first movie, to make Kopa's pose.

En mi infancia crecí con vídeos de YouTube de el rey león que mostraban imágenes aleatorias de Fan arts con una canción de un cantante famoso, recuerdo que conocí a Kopa gracias a estos vídeos los cuales, los títulos decían "la historia de Kopa" o "la verdadera historia de Kopa". Estos vídeos eran simplemente secuencias de imágenes que en su mayoría provenían de aquí de artistas famosos. Siempre con el contexto de Kopa, el primer hijo de Simba y Nala que se enamora de su "mejor amiga", la leona Vitani, pero Zira (seguidora fiel de Scar) en un acto de venganza contra Simba "lo ataca para después matarlo a sangre fría", o eso cree ella. Kopa sobrevive al ataque y huye de su hogar, pero años después, regresa, se convierte en rey de las tierras del orgullo y eventualmente, tiene hijos con Vitani.

Más tarde descubrí que Kopa procedía de una serie de libros que técnicamente no son canon en el universo de El Rey León. Me sentí decepcionada (para que te hagas una idea me sentí como cuando descubres que no existe Papá Noel). Literalmente creí una mentira gracias a esos vídeos. Antes de eso, estaba convencida de que la razón por la que Simba exilió a Zira de las tierras del orgullo fue porque él mató a su hijo. Esta segunda mentira también la creí gracias a los vídeos de YouTube, con las teorías que se justificaban gracias a la secuela de el rey león, donde Simba sobre-protege a Kiara por la muerte de su hijo mayor, o cuando ocurre la secuencia en la que Zira entrega a su hijo a Kovu para Simba para matarlo para así quedar "a mano". Años después, la teoría fue desmentida gracias a la serie “La Guardia del León”, que mostró el verdadero motivo por el cual Zira fue exiliada de las tierras del reino.

Pero bueno, la historia Fan de este personaje es interesante, a pesar de que no es Canon.

-Como puedes ver, he creado mi propio diseño de Prince Kopa, he estado pensando en darle una historia peculiar, aunque todavía estoy trabajando en ello. Sus colores están inspirados en sus antepasados. Al principio, quería que sus ojos fueran azules (como los de Nala), pero decidí que sus ojos fueran verdes, como herencia de Scar.

De todos modos, me inspiré en algunas de las poses de Zira de la secuela del Rey León. Además, usé algunas poses de cachorro Simba de la primera película, para hacer la pose de Kopa.
