Description
This a character I created just for my portfolio, It took awhile to finish as I really wanted to make it the best piece of 3d I have done so far and I feel a succeeded at that.Modelled in 3dsmax (low and high poly)
Sculpted in Mudbox (high poly organic areas and face)
Textures in Photoshop
Normal in Xnormal
Rendered in Marmoset
The character is a cyborg styled soldier based on a concept I did awhile ago. Its the first time I tried to incorporate metal and organic areas in a character and it was really fun, the cyborg arm also made it a lot easier to skin as there was no need to weight the pieces, just had to attach them to bone.

Yeah I try to do a lot of different stuff so all my work isn't the same and it keeps things interesting

So true that the 3d is way better. But either way, awesome render. The normal maps really bring out the detail.

The normal maps are my favourite part of any project, can turn a really boring basic model into something amazing.
