this is my A3 portrait of the character Dean Winchester played by actor Jensen Ackles in the TV show Supernatural.

been working on this for a very long time, dont know how many hours were slaved away on this as it was spread out over a few months, but as the hours were spent staring at this guy it wasn't that bad and i enjoyed drawing.

the idea for the title came from my view that over the series we have lost bits of the old dean winchester from season one, and he has slowly been chipped away at but every now and then the old him shines through telling us he is still the character we all know and love even with what his character has been through.

used a range of pencils on this from 6h to 6b so both ends of the spectrum of shades, tissuesand blending sticks, 2h,hb and 2b mechanical pencils.
