People expect the human Twilight that was at the end of Equestria Girls Rainbow Rocks to be a crazy scientist. Actually she is what looked like shy and awkward like Twilight does in the first season where Twilight started to make friends. I'm just guessing, not proving something. Check the EG trailer 3 y'all

The whole concept of magic and fairytale worlds existing was too much for the logic-based mind of a scientist to handle.

True be that, but even with this in mind, pretty much every scientist has accepted an unwritten law that magic is fake and that the mere mention of its existence is a offense to science itself.

Similar to if "free energy" is technically impossible (something for nothing)
Then something like "static charge" or "photon energy" would be more appropriate
