Sooo.... this drawing was not supposed to be posted here, since it was just a concept for a future drawing. I'm planning to work on another slice-of-life scene from my setting, with some Ajshar busy with religious activity, and in order to do that I first had to have a clear idea about the statue they are worshipping.So yeah, it looks crappier than most of my sketches, but I figured someone would find it interesting anyways
As the title says, this is the Ajshari goddess of death, and she has quite a huge following, especially after the human invasion. I still have to come up with a name for her, but I'll write more about her lore when I'll complete the other drawing (if I will, haven't started yet). I'm sure many of you will easily find the obvious inspirations from real world religions.... XD

It's interesting to see different influences in the culture of your world - the look of this goddess is very Indian, but I also see the traits of Egyptian wall images in her, particularly the way the wings are drawn.

Haha not because of that, actually. She's a benevolent goddess, who cares deeply for those who die, and since the human invasion A LOT of Ajshar died.Β She's pretty much the only goddess that hasn't failed them, and many just pray for their loved ones, for a long life, or at least a good death.
