When I first scanned this drawing I messed up with the settings, and it turned out with an annoying grainy texture, not to mention other issues during the editing (I made it WAY too dark). I've been wanting to repost it for ages, but never got around it until now.I hope you like the new version, in any case you can still see the old one HERE.

My characters Lars and Enorach returning home after taking part in some battle around the world. They often work as mercenaries, even if they accept only jobs they feel to be right, they have quite strong morals. It may not be the best thing for two sellswords, but they are very good at what they do, and many times they are hired by the regular soldiers themselves when they need some "unofficial help", let's say. Also, they are probably happy to still be alive.
I noticed I never draw them together enough.
I made this drawing right before leaving home, and I had to hurry if I wanted to scan it in time. It may be a bit rushed in some areas but I'm still happy with it. Any comment or critique to help me improve is more than welcome! ^^

Aw, it's nice to see the human and the cat together. I know it's just his race, but I think it's funny how short Enorach is compared to Lars. And he's the greatsword user. XD

Indeed, it was about time I drew them side by side! ^^ Enorach is pretty tall compared to the average cats too, they are quite tiny.

I just splatter brown colour using the brush to make a "catapult" effect

Ah there is so much detail again.. and wonderful coloring! but in this case I prefer Enorach's armor choice (plus i tend to prefer lighter armor generally) XD I've never quite like that type of arm protection Lars has in the picture.. but hey! it does the job!
I like how your coloring creates textures so I can easily differentiate between fur, metal and cloth/leather, there is only one part where I am unsure of the textures (not sure if this is a critique or just me wondering) Does Enorach have a shirt
underneath his vest or is it armor ?

Indeed!
Enorach prefers to go around in lighter equipment, but when needed he can wear some plate armour too. And I'm not too fond of Lars' armour too, but I thought it would be nice to break the monotony. ^^
Under the vest he wears both a piece of armour and a shirt, the armour is not a full breastplate so you can see the shirt underneath

I will say frankly that the Dago would be also in a great mood if he could come back after such a great battle to home safe and sound and be able to hug His beloved Ada and Their beloved son...

I'm really glad you like the weapons and armours even if they are not 100% historical, I always have fun drawing them. XD And I'm also glad you found the lighting effect useful, it took me a while to get it right. All you have to do is leave the illuminated part white, and then colour it if necessary (like yellow or orange at sunset, for example)

And I'll tell you honestly that exactly I had same thought, I found this after studying the your technique of painting of your graphics, and besides, we can see the difference - that much looks nicer and easier to get effect as it is you are doing than impose 10 layers of white paint when I make mistake and bother with the color

There are many of them. Religious wars, racial discrimination, control over the trade routes, lands and money. The usual middle ages stuff
