The commission season opens with one for *Kreizen and ends with one for *Kreizen .
I guess he liked the other sequence enough to ask for Zelda and Peach boarding the hapless Heather and Vhaidra for a waterslide ride.Since this has plasticised and fleshy characters mixed up together, I really wanted to render each types of skin differently. I think I was successful. Actually the most difficult part was the setting, which was requested by *Kreizen , because waterparks are a rarity in the chilly north that I live in.
I'm pretty sure the construction of this platform is entirely implausible BUT given that they're video game characters, anything's possible right?

I have to admit, I really do love the way you do the artificialness of the inflatables -- particularly the painted-on features and clothing! It's something that I've very rarely found in inflatable art, and is one of the reasons why I'd love to commission you if I ever get the opportunity! Ah well~
In the meantime, I'll settle for admiring your own incredible artwork!

Thank you! Whenever I do inflatables I always try to think of like... how they would be manufactured if they were a real thing. So most things end up part of the plastic but other things, like hair, can be their own shapes. Simple balloons are really easy to render, but when it got to these pool toys I can to figure out some new ways of rendering the complex shapes. Painting patterns on the same surface is kind of hard, haha. But I definitely got it down pat by this image.

This one was definitely a great end to the commission strings. On the part about rendering, you definitely emphasized the plastic quality of Heather and Vhaidra's skin well enough to ensure it couldn't be confused with regular skin, and the inflatables look pretty great because of that. (I also like how you shows how they actually do squash with heather's head getting some crinkles in it from being squeezed between zelda's leg and her own breast in addition with both her and Vhaidra's rumps pushing against each other). You can definitely see some of that personality you give to the princesses in both, with Zelda panicking at loss of balance while Peach is definitely exuding playful aggression. Altogether, I love the composition of the piece as well, the pool toys brigning a small degree of symmetry, while the Princesses give that motion to the pic that makes it feel lively.
Also, the construction of that deck, while a bit odd and I'm not sure I've seen one like it before, the design definitely works for a water slide (I actually think it's a really nice way to top a water slide) and since you haven't shown the underside of the construction, it's definitely viable.
