The colour version, done
(to repeat what i said in the line art: )
"My concept of imperfect Cell in an 'Oozaru-like' transformation.
Having Saiyan DNA its possible that if Cell was exposed to Blutz waves he may be able to transform. Added to which Piccolo also had the ability to become a giant, further supporting this possible transformation."

I used gimp to create this image, and i didn't keep track of how long it took me to do, but it was a little while on and off. (starting with a sketch i scanned in)
I decided to colourise the background so that the focus is more on Cell. I'm contemplating weather or not i should upload the alternates (one has a normal colour background, the other has no background and Cell coloured normally instead of having the moon light shining on him.)
I'm rather happy with the result i got, but i'd love to hear what others think:

An interesting what if, but it would never play out. Sure , having saiyan DNA in the mix may have granted cell the ability to transform into an Oozaru-type monster, but thats only if Gero's computer decided not to remove that trait. Remember that not all genetic traits from the gathered DNA were kept in cells creation. Its highly likely the genetic trait that causes the oozaru transformation was seen as an undesirable trait for cell to posess and would likely have been removed.

Interesting concept. When I think about it I do think it would be logical if Cell could do this. He would look quite weird, being an insect-like giant monkey

Yeah, insect giant monkeys would look pretty strange, one would think.
I'd imagine that if cell wasn't stretching out and pounding his chest like this he would be standing in that ape pose, you know, hunched over with his knuckles on the ground.
