Vegeta may have been strong willed, enabling him to resist Babidi's orders at first, but I feel it would only have been a matter of time before Babidi's spell did its job and left Vegeta completely loyal to his new master.

Dabura was probably much the same in the beginning, resisting Babidi's orders and using his new power for his own gain. But we saw what became of him in the end. He was completely subordinate to Babidi, even in the very end he was doing what he felt was best for his 'master'.

So, this piece is based on the question:
"What if Vegeta had become loyal to Babidi, and joined the majin crew on-board babidi's ship"

Would Vegeta pick the majin battle armour, for that nostalgic feeling of
"returning to the the way he was... BEEFFORREE!!!rawr!".

Or, would he be dressed in an outfit more similar to what babidi and dabura wear?
