Location: Gen 2 era Johto, but for reasons unexplained has Pokemon with Gen 6 stats (The future doesn't like old school)

Personality:

It's your average day in class 3-A at school. You've been going to this school for about 3 years now and you know everyone in your class by heart. The teacher calls the class's attention as a new transfer student has arrived. You and your friends start hot gossip as a tall handsome young man enters the room. The young man isn't who this Personality description is for, but he begins writing his name on the board anyway as if he's important or something. The teacher assigns you to take the new guy around for his first day (all of your friends are jelly but wish you luck anyway, you simply reply with "I don't know what you guys are talking about!" as your face turns bright red). Today's physical education class exercise is dodge-ball in the schools gym. Since the new kid doesn't have a PE uniform yet he sits this class out. You really want to make an impression on him so you try your best to be the first to get someone out. *thunk* You got one, first blood of the game and you're feeling real proud. The transfer student looks at you and does a "good shot" gesture. You smile back... Quickly, the day ends, you pack up your books in an empty room as the sun sets a bright orange light through the window. You tell yourself today was a great day, then notice someone waiting at the school gate. It's the transfer student, he was waiting for you. He notices you and walks towards you with his bag over his shoulder. He tells you he had a great first day, and that he'd want to get to know you better.

"Urm... if it's okay with you that is..." The boy looks away to hide his shyness, you simply smile back and say

"Sure, transfer student-kun is already my friend." Your reply makes the transfer student jump. He fixes his composure and says "Hey, the entire day and... I still haven't gotten your name"

"Oh?" You were surprised that something so simple skipped your mind, so you answer him.

"My name is: Shy but hides it under a calm demeanor, a try hard for attention but easily discouraged when things go wrong, cries a lot when no one's looking, a bit of a mama's boy, overall a die hard otaku fan boy who can't keep his fan boy tendencies in his pants... But you can call me Personality-chan for short! tee-hee"

It's implied that the relationship never blooms... but whatever that's Ota's Personality for ya...

Brief History:

So in all seriousness, Ota was born to a traditional Ecruteak family. His mother was a Kabuki dancer and owner of a dance hall which she inherited from her side of the family, while Ota's father was an old fashioned priest of one of the towers. Ota's mother died of illness when he was young, the lost left him very empty and he began to doubt that his family even cared about his mother's death. He later began filling in the void with anime and manga, eventually becoming a hardcore otaku. This troubled his father and his sisters since Ota no longer left his room except for bathroom breaks, his meals were even handed to him, and worst yet he began giving his sisters the "-tan" honorific (for weebs who don't know this is rather offensive if the other person isn't okay with it).

Thus Ota's five sisters, with their father's approval, decided to forcibly kick Ota out of the house to become a Pokemon trainer. A few weeks in, Ota began to get the hang of things... and by that, he's been able to watch all the current animes by asking the Nurse Joys of each Pokemon Center to record the airings. He battles other kids for spending money for the latest figures and products. And stopped by a few conventions along the way. As for the actual training... He got himself a very spunky Marill on the way to his first badge, while his Eevee is having a hard time keeping the kid on track.

Ota's only in his 3rd week of being a Pokemon trainer and he's already starting to doubt that he'll be able to get anywhere as one. He stops at Ilex Forest and despairs at the lack of internet connection that he direly needs. Eventually, without a form of distraction his loneliness begins to eat at him and memories of his departed mother return to him almost all at once. Overcome by sad emotions, he curls up in a ball... and suddenly gets transported into the future... After realizing his position... He once again curled up into a ball... but now began screeching "FUUUUTUUUreeee... FUUUUUtuuuree... FUUUUTUUUREEE!!!"... then stopped since no one around seemed to get the reference...

Realizing something was off with the future... You know, with all the vikings, knights, vaguely spooky people with hints of blood lust wondering around, he quickly concluded that some kind of space and time Pokemon must have warped everyone here as some kind of byproduct of some sort of struggle and that the only way to fix it is to have a tournament (it's shonen manga's answer to everything)... Then some dude who looked like he lives in the town that's currently being ransacked by future shocked people more ore less confirmed Ota's intuition... Though the tournament part was a joke really...

In the midst of the hilarious chaos, Ota realized one VERY crucial problem... He won't be able to watch the last episodes of the winter animes that he started before he was suddenly warped into the future... Worse yet... Being in the future... he is surrounded by what any otaku or dedicated fan hates the most... SPOILERS!!!

So in a ditch effort to keep himself from getting spoiled of future series (and past series, omg this nightmare) Ota decided to join in on this tournament... Who knows, maybe a way back will appear somewhere...

Misc:

- He's very imaginative, occasionally imagining the people around him as drawn by famous anime artists (this gets hilarious all the time)

- He's one of those rare otakus that don't force shows or his opinions on others, but gets very butt hurt when people judge him for the things he likes

- His hair is naturally pink... from his father's side of the family... But he wished it were black like his mom's...

- His bag is mostly filled with Anime posters, gachapon capsules, mini figurines, concert tickets, and an ass load of Hentai doujinshis...

- He knows how to cook

Personality: Modest, a tad bit Mischievous... But overall a Pokemon that anyone can argue is too good for it's trainer ( I mean come on, it's shiny even) Miku acts as Ota's partner Pokemon, and despite her trainer being very unconfident, she brings the words "Don't believe in yourself! Believe in me who believes in you!" to life.
Brief History: She was given to Ota by his sisters when he got kicked out of the house. Their family does the whole, everyone has an Eevee thing that all the kimono girls in Johto do...
Misc: Miku was taught to cry out her own name, so she says "Miku" as apposed to "Eevee"... or that weird, chirpy, 8-bit sound that all Pokemon make...

Gender: Female
Species: Azumarill

Ability: Huge Power
Size: 2'07" (5'02" with ears uncurled)
Personality: Adamant, Quick- Tempered, and very battle worthy. She dislikes being alone for long periods of time, so much so that it's like rain clouds form over her. She gets along with the Otaku duo even getting herself named after a Fairytail character.
Brief History: She was found moping near a stream when suddenly Ota decided to catch it on a whim to impress some old guy who refused to move without some coffee (to his surprise he actually caught it too). Since then Juvia has been a bit of a needy child, always wants to be sent out for battle, as if she has something to prove.
Misc: Ota gave Juvia the Vivillon brooch when he gave Juvia her name. It surprisingly fits, especially now that she's also considered a fairy-type.

Name: Nagato
Species: Mismagius

Personality: Calm, Alert to Sounds, and very hard to approach. Nagato is normally very aloof, almost as if in a trance, but when it comes to taking in battle commands, she's quick and solid like a computer. She doesn't seem to give Ota or Juvia much attention, but she's rather attached to Miku, always within her reach when out of her "Pokeball".

Brief History: She is the first Pokemon to be caught in this era, but I suppose "caught" isn't quite the word for it. She, like Ota and friends, came from another Era. Nagato was found in an abandoned storeroom within Celestic Town in an Electric Guitar that acts as her Pokeball. After hearing Miku's song, she was cheerful enough to join Ota's party.
Misc: Nagato's Hex Attack are normally joined by a toy magic wand Ota made with some leftover supplies from the Pokemart. Oh and her Pokeball is a white Electric Guitar.

Name: Kenshiro
Species: Blaziken

Ability: Speed Boost

Personality: Adamant, Capable to take hits, and knows "True Sadness". Kenshiro is a first for Ota, a strong and seemingly rebellious, more so than the usual clowns that he keeps in his part. This over serious Blaziken has only left his Pokeball once, and since then has refused to come out under Ota's command. Whether it's due to the lack of badges or Ota's inexperience as a trainer, Kenshiro will be a hard one to control in battle. But if utilized successfully, Kenshiro is without a doubt Ota's trump card to get through the harder battles that lurk ahead.
Brief History: Kenshiro is a Dream Pokemon, caught in the enigmatic Dream World. But despite being a new addition to Ota's party, he does have a history in Ota's future (will be explained in the round 4 prologue) possibly coming from a different universe and time period. Kenshiro's own past before being in the Dream World is as much a mystery as his connection with Ota, the 7 scars on his chest are the only clue to this tough Pokemon's dark past. For now, Kenshiro's shiny bright red Cherish Ball hangs on Ota's belt, waiting to see it's trainer's true worth.
Misc: Ken will come out of his Pokeball only if either a "Strong" Pokemon is being used, or if he's the last Pokemon in the party. In the case of Double/Triple Battles, assuming at least one of the conditions are met, Kenshiro will be present. He's a prideful Pokemon, but he'll make his debut in the 4th round regardless!
