Twilight x Sunburst

Name: Orion
Nicknames: Sunny, Sunflower, Comet
Species: unicorn
Gender: male
Personality: grumpy, uppity, straight laced
Cutie mark: a sun shape with a star and cosmos coloring inside it. Represents his talent for astronomy.
Orion is the most stubborn and snobbish child of Twilight, due to his status and powerful mother he sees himself as better than pretty much everyone. He passed every test and was the top student in school but due to his personality he never made any friends which troubled Twilight. So she pushed him to make friends and go to parties but the more she pushed the more he resisted. Despite her best efforts he hates crowds and feels that anyone that does approach him is only interested in his status. He much prefers the company of books, creating new potions and spells in his lab and charting out new constellations. Until he met Diamond Dust, Spike's son, and the two hit it off as soon as Dusty started talking about the books in Twilight's library. The two have remained fast friends, even though Dusty likes to tease him by calling him "uncle" which Orion hates because technically it's true.
Additional info
Orion gets along with his stepfather due to them both being intelligent and interested in new types of magic.
While he does care for his family deep down, he finds his little brother very annoying as he's always in his stuff and he can't seem to shake the little devil.
Orion is rather conflicted on his feelings for Solaire who he has admired since he was a foal but that admiration developed into a crush. He hasn't even told Diamond Dust and refuses to acknowledge it but it's making him rather miserable.

Name: Strawberry Twist
Nicknames: Twisty, Berry, Pinky, Nerd
Species: unicorn
Gender: female
Personality: loud, friendly, helpful, stubborn
Cutie mark: an open book with a yellow, blue and purple spoke coming from it. Represents her imagination and writing ability
Strawberry Twist has always been a keen reader and loves to write her own stories. She greatly enjoy bringing joy to others through her writing. Berry gets along with pretty much everyone and no one has a bad word to say about her. Although she does get into trouble a lot, she likes to go out adventuring in order to give herself new ideas for her books but she often goes to the most dangerous places possible; something that greatly upsets her friends as they know the only thing on her mind is her books and not whats going on around her.
Berry has a under developed horn which causes her magic to be rather weak and any attempts at difficult spells causes her magic to burst out uncontrollably as she isn't able to focus her magic. While disappointing to her, she has learned to live with it but still has accidents every so often as she wants to be able to do amazing spells like her mother and father. No one has the heart to tell her that she will never be able to.
Additional info
Like her brother Orion, Berry has an earth pony type tail which they got from their grandfather on Sunburst's side of the family. She also inherited earth pony hooves.
When Berry was a foal she was incredibly embarrassed of her large eybrows and refused to go out if she hadn't plucked them. Eventually she grew out of this and in fact now likes her eyebrows.

Name: Velvet Spectrum
Nicknames: Hellion, Imp, Trouble, Specter, Ghosty
Species: umbra/unicorn/alicorn
Gender: male
Personality: trouble maker, cheeky, energetic,
Cutie mark: doesn't have one yet
The youngest child of Twilight and also the most troublesome. Velvet was born an alicorn but did not display any magical talent until 5 years old which is when the trouble started because since then he has shown an astounding magical ability. Mostly with dark and chaos magic; so much so that Discord had to step in to teach Velvet how to control his magic. Not that it stopped him from turning rugs into snakes and making it rain indoors.
Despite the mayhem he causes, his family love him (even King who will often complain about how annoying his little brother is) and Velvet loves them all right back. He greatly looks up to his father and enjoys spending time with him, especially when Sombra reads him stories. He also likes his to hang around his older brother and play in his lab which King hates.
Additional info:
Velvet is often confused for being Luna's child what with his starry hair and dark colors, however it seems he has some sort of connection to dawn and dusk as that is when he is most active.
Velvet can change into a smoke based form which he gets from his umbra genes.
