Description
Part one: Waking upIt rained last night. The dew soaked the ground and covered every inch of the rolling pale green hills surrounding her. On morning such as this, even roses take on an unhealthy grey hue. The sun takes refuge behind the dark, low clouds casting grey light on everything it touches. Her small fragile hands reached out and hugged the damp, flattened grass she laid on. Sitting up, she scans over the surrounding hills; secretly hoping for anything familiar. A faint mist obscures her vision; deciphering where exactly she is, is tricky even with the suns help. And on her planet that is very, very important.
Her planet is round and with next to nothing on it. No forest, therefore no way to build a home. No garden, therefore no place to feel happy. No mountains, therefore no place to explore. Her planet might be considered beautiful to most visitors (not that she gets any of those) she, on the other hand, is caught in her own hell on this planet. The green hills are continual, completely the same and redundant which means she cannot ever know where she is. Her planet is small enough to have her walk in circles, but big enough to have her completely lost at all times of the day. As far as she can see there are rolling green hills with muggy brown trails accept one: one trail was paved with bright blue bricks. It is said that at the end of this blue trail there is a beautiful garden with white lilies and red roses waiting for her. She chose never set one foot on that path.
She looked down at herself in a mirror like puddle in one of the many mud patches. Angelic blonde hair framed her delicate oval face and fell straight down to her mid back below her shoulder blades. Freckles spotted her small straight nose and subtle cheekbones; almond shapes olive eyes glared with curiosity, a subtle intelligence and burning suspicion of bad intentions. She might have been beautiful, if not for her skin took on a slight blue tone and was so thin, one could see the veins beneath and revealed every scar she had attained.
Her hope of finding something familiar was lost almost immediately, though this did not upset her. Disappointment and loss of hope, she was used to. She heaved herself to her feet off the bed of the flattened grass that served as her bed for the night before. Immediately the grass fluffed and returned to its regular stance. Gravity was much lighter and in some random places, pulled slightly because the surrounding moons had such powerful and widely reaching poles they sometimes touched and confused the direction of which gravity was supposed to go. (Down of course)
Again, she glanced down at the murky puddle and spoke to herself.
"Which direction today do you suppose I should head in? I suppose left sounds promising, but then again, straight ahead is a safer choice."
Without thinking twice, she traveled straight forwards for as long as she could bare it.
