i suppose you're right, but i could argue that the plug in brings it down to earth and adds to the picture by making it look more real therefore enhancing the idea of the common circumstance shown in the picture.
but im not because i didn't plan that... haha

I know. If anything, I'd rebut by saying the picture is surreal, leaving no place for something as common-place as an electrical outlet.

I know. Consequently, i would rebut saying the the surrealistic distorting and flavor of the picture combined with such a common object intensifies the idea of the subject because it is as conflicting as the situation of someone who only partially loves someone. that partial love could be a love that is impossible and illogical, whereas being the love itslef is pure and common. hence the surreal effect combined with a common object creating contrast and tention therefore adding to the idea of the picture.
but, surely, i wont.
