There is nothing I do not love about this. The world needs more Dracula, it could use a little more Danny Phantom, and if there's both of them, well, the world makes a little more sense again.
I was expecting something a little stiffer, but I told they had license and they came up with fidgeting Danny and an amused looking but affectionate Dracula.
Love Danny and his mild discomfort, in a room full of ancient, undead strangers, standing as basically an ecto-powered decorative guard next to the Dark Lord of the Undead. The suit was a surprise, but a pleasant one. It looks very good on him and I think would give him a bit more confidence in a room filled with sharp, if funereal dressers.
He's looking out at the room, and I wonder if he recognizes any faces from history class.
"Hey...that's--no, it couldn't be."
"What is it, Daniel?"
"Heh, I thought I saw Albert Einstein by the fountain there, but there's no way..."
"Ah, he made it. Most excellent." *Floats over to say hello.*
"...dwuh?"
And I love Dracula, an emperor of darkness holding court. I love how his hands are alive--Bela Lugosi made expressive hands a big part of the character, and it feels like this lives up to that.
There's just so much to love here: the juxtaposition between Dracula and Danny's comfort levels, Dracula's poise, the rich colors of his suit and cape. Superbly rendered.
And of course, as stated above, there's just such a look of stoic fondness there. I like to think that Dracula misses his kids, so he takes a kind of paternalistic interest in Danny, and is pleased to have him there.
