i think it's a friggin' shame about Eli and all other charas loved by the fans and then just wiped out because of the copyright BS. I understand both sides and their reasoning... and it's not that Elias was that frequently used in comics, but damn, it was a heartbreak when i found out.

No, it happened in real life, as Ken Penders copyrighted his characters, causing the comics to reboot since he went and sued Sega and EA, and Archie failed their countersuit.
