I want to say that vampires are immune to zombie venom, as they have already been infected by another (vampire) type of venom (and I would like to say the same thing about werewolves)...
But here's another thing that I've been wondering about for some years now: would zombies immediately recognize a vampire just by proximity (dark sense), or would it merely see it as no different than a regular human (no dark sense, just potential food)?

It's an interesting question, isn't it? Troy and I have been planning a sequel to this story that just may answer some of these questions in our own universe.
In my mind, zombies wouldn't differentiate between vampire and human, they're just too dumb. However, the zombies in our story are more mystical in nature, so...
Keep watching, Troy and I are cooking up the answer...

Here's a rather random question; I'm not sure if this one ever came to your attention: what is the difference between a ghoul and a zombie? Truthfully, I have a hard time distinguishing one from the other...

In my mind, a ghoul is more of a monster, an adulterated version of a dead human. A zombie would be just that- a dead human, animated by means unknown- or not understood- by us. But that's just my take

Someone pointed out to me that Ghouls tend to have a more predatory demeanor as Zombies are just motivation-less automatons. Ghouls could pounce like Vampires could, but Zombies don't have that kind of motivation. Ghouls can hiss and growl where Zombies have that moan/growl thing. There are actually 3 other kinds of physical undead not counting vampires.
-Zombie: lower undead; not very intelligent, rather mindless.
-Ghoul: medium-level undead; rudimentary intelligence, bestial, predatory urges; moves quicker than Zombies.
-Revenant: mid to higher undead; sentient and conscious as it was in life, can be decomposing and foul in appearance like a zombie, or intact like a vampire in appearance.
I just found these out today...
