Ah yes, we come to what I like to call "Fandom Blindness." It is when one cannot step away from your own fandom or fandoms to take into account facts and details from others to influence an argument. This essentially means that while a FanBlind person can tell you, for example, every enemy Goku has ever beaten and that Superman can't be near Kryptonite, they CANNOT tell you that Superman spent several minutes in the sun resulting in him temporarily becoming nearly godlike in power.
This results in both willing and unwitting trolls on the internet as well as the majority of nerd arguing and rage. Hence why DEATHBATTLE is such a definitive show, in that it takes all details and information for a logical, unbiased result.

I'm not saying they're evenly matched in any way, but Super Sonic can fly at least. If Sonic DID win, it would be a Pyrrhic victory.

........................ Superman can fly too (in fact, he mastered it)........ not sure why Sonic flying would be an advantage. Well, when you put his victory that way, it makes sense, I can agree to that. However, the problem with Sonic is that his super form isn't permanent. Once Sonic uses up all his chaos energy in his Super form then it would be over for him... so quickly.

Never said they were. I said they were 'basically' Gods because they might as well be. The whole theme surrounding Superman is "a God living among man" anyhow and considering the abilities that he's been able to display over the year, calling him a 'God' is pretty justifiable especially when you take into that Superman grew so powerful that he was able to simply push planets out of orbit...
