I laughed as I walked away from the parking lot that my friends and I had just been playing kickball in. It was halarious. One of them fell flat on their face and still didn't hit the ball right. I wish that I had a picture. Scratch that, that guy would have uploaded it to facebook already, though I, really, never on there to see it anyway. I paced my stride, trying to enlongate the walk back to the house where I don't really want to be in right now. Mum passed six months ago. Da was away on buisness all the time. I was missing an arm from the car crash that stole my sisters life when I was twelve. She was only three years old.

I sighed. The house was lonely. No, I was lonely. We had no pets, no house sitters, and I didn't have any neighbors. It was a small and dismal place to live. I wondered idly whether this is what the rest of my life would be like. Me, all alone in an empty house, not able to get anyone to care without thinking I'm a burden, because they always seem to think that I need help all the time to do anything. It drove me nuts when Da tried to do everything for me instead of letting me get used to it. Mum never seemed to aknowledge my set backs. She was the only other person, than my friends, that would treat me normally.

I was lost in a daze when I tripped on a large crack in the sidewalk, falling with a gasp. I quickly rolled and used the momentum to spring back up, and looked around to see in anyone saw. It was dark, and when my eyes gazed at one point, these two, red eyes peered back at me. I shivered, until I realized there was this pitiful mewling coming from it. I looked closer. It was a small, white kitten, with yellow eyes. I teared up, looking for the mother. There was nothing. I knealed down, and plucked it from the ground.

At least he house won't be as quiet with a cat.
