Description The bell rang. I didn't keep people by spitting in their face, I had to do something better. This, was gonna be fun, and even on his own turf, too...

He stood and I brought my chair to land on all four legs again with a snap.

"Shall we go then, bella?" I grinned. Yes, I knew where we were going. My trap was set.

"Of course, maestro. Please, be my guest, show the way so we may study in peace." I said, standing, putting everything back into its place in my bag, brushing myself off, then putting the bag onto my shoulder loosely. I moved to the aisle, next to him. I was a good head shorter, and he took the opportunity to put his arm around my shoulders. I forced myself not to react, letting him think he had me. He grinned, and began to guide us out of the classroom and into the hallway.

"So, bella, I don't think we have been properly introduced." He said, trying for conversation. I smirked at him.

"We've heard enough about each other from others to not need an introduction, no?" I started to wiggle my eyebrows comically. He laughed.

"True, bella, but it would be very improper of me." I sighed, pulling up a subject that told him to keep away from the subject of names.

"You never asked those girls for their names, did you? What makes me so different, playboy?"

"What do you mean? I always was a perfect gentlemen to those Madonna's!" I snorted, letting myself get guided through the throng of staring eyes as we swiftly went to the stairs and climbed up at a slower pace.

"Fine, you win, bella, we will not be introduced...May I ask other questions then?" He asked, looking down at me. I nodded, not really paying attention.

"Okay...do you like to read?" I laughed.

"Way to start an interesting conversation. Yes, I do like to read." He lead us into the library, going quietly to the back, our conversation on pause as he pulled out keys and unlocked a door. It opened, and he opened it to reveal a staircase.

"After you, tesoro." He held out his hand for me to grab. I took it, and he guided me into the small space between the doorway and the first step. He walked in flush behind me, closing the door with an audible click. I quickly started to move up the steps, the noise from my feet echoing. He followed behind.

"Si, I like to read too." he picked up right where we left off. I snorted.

"What other questions are there for you to ask, maestro?" he chuckled.

"A few. They can wait until I show you my personal space, though. We need to study." he said. I frowned. He was relaxed, but he wasn't flirting anymore, just being charming. Dang, if he kept that up I'll be distracted. I came to the end of the staircase, and opened the door there. I stepped into the threshold. I was very familiar with the space, I had stayed here many times throughout my time here. It was an empty attic space, with a high 'A' roof and a circular window above our heads, letting the light in which lit up the dust motes. I breathed deeply. It smelled nice and ancient, unmoved. But there was also a quality of something secret. A new quality that I didn't invite in. The Italian foreigner walked in behind me, moving to my side.

"Welcome to by secret space." he said softly, almost like he didn't want to disturb the peace of the space. I went over and sat on a box that sat stacked against the wall with many others and leaned on it, crossing my arms across my chest.

"Yes, secret." I mumbled. A sting made its way to my eyes. It was a very odd and sudden thing. I wasn't sad, I had no reason to be. Why was I forming tears? I felt my eyes well up.

"Hey, tesoro, are you alright?" I bit my lip before I replied softly enough not to betray my shaking voice.

"I used to come here often...it doesn't feel the same now." He came up to me. I was looking away, avoiding his gaze. This wasn't what I had planned. Not at all.

"...look at me." he whispered. I was shocked at his soft tone. I turned toward him, eyes wide. He was smiling slightly.

"Do you want to know what tesoro and bella mean? I've only ever called my sister that, and this is why I always asked for those girls names...would you like to know, il mio amore?" I blinked at him, feeling a tear roll down my cheek. He gently wiped it away.

"What does it mean?" I breathed. He smiled.

"It means treasure...beautiful...my love." I felt my eyes widen more. I was stock still as he continued to stroke my cheek.

"I've been watching you, Halo...always watching from the beginning of summer when I came here..."
