i think it's popular opinion that volo is not a good villain, i'll tell you why. you see he's a traitor and being in a relationship with a traitor is not healthy. you know what he should have been called neco meaning i kill because in his 3rd battle we get the infamous " Giratina, strike him/her down" line and it's so heinous. i doubt it'd be an unpopular opinion to hate that line. you as the player are not supposed to actually let giratina strike you down because you'll have to fight volo's Pokémon team again. but on the bright side, volo does get rejected by arceus by having the player be chosen over him. make sense as he tried to murderered you the player. but you know who he'd get defeated by? the cast of dance monsters, they wouldn't want him being part of the live audience for season 2.
