I read a lot comments about the search bar of DeviantArt V7,so I made this little script which adds a search bar to the bottom of each page.

You need Firefox + Greasemonkey to run this script.

Right click on the Greasemonkey icon, then right click on the script's name.

this is good, but annoying the search bar always says "undefined"

Bug Reports:
When V7 Search Bar Script is enabled, notes do not display.
Always reads "undefined".

Think it would be possible to add in a drop-down menu to search news, journals, deviations, collections, etc?

nice , but can you add it inside the main bar , somewhere after submit and shop buttons ? There is a lot of space for search bar there .

Not everyone has a large screen, so there might not be enough space

It's grass monkey script. If it does not work, it can be disabled.
Can you do that for us ? 90% people have enough space for this 
Rest of them probably have old netbook or ipone and they don't use grass monkey

Oh , one small thing should be fixed.
It does not work on dA chat .
And if you add it to chat, search results from chat should be opened in new tab without killing chat.
