Reminds me of an old Spiderman comic book with cyborgs... The (female) doctor to care about the cyborg ripped her own face of in the end to unmask herself as cyborg before the very showdown...

It was quite a twist in that book... in the end both cyborgs died when the roof collapsed during the fight against Spidey, Moon Kinght, Nova, Thrasher, Punisher and others....
