GLaDOS has gotten increasingly sinister as you've progressed (i.e "You will be (computer gibberish that sounds a lot like 'baked) and then there will be cake.") You've been finding a lot of doodles and signs drawn on the walls to help you along, including ones saying "She's watching you" and "The cake is a lie." So you're on this platform that is carrying you to a sign that, FINALLY, shows a picture of a cake. You turn the corner--and are getting carried into an incinerator instead. So, not quite getting cake.
