Description These are the tools for my minecraft texture pack: Broken Anachronism.

They are highly unorthodox, but each tier has a theme to keep them aligned with each other stylistically.

Wood: These are found items extremely unsuited to the task.

Stone: More found items that might just do the job.

Iron: Dangerous and effective items held together with bent nails and duct tape

Gold: Luxury items that won't stand up to much abuse

Diamond: Copper power tools, all of which are animated.

I actually looked at the ore blocks a while back and did not understand why they looked the way they did. NOW this makes a lot more sense with what you are going with.

All this is so ingeniously clever. Especially the actual clockwork or whatever tools.

I'm actually going to be redoing all the ores, since i ended up changing a few things around with the tools/armors.

Still, it is an awesome concept. ^^

the diamond tools and iron tools are awesome. it's interesting how anything diamond is basically everything steampunk rolled up into one and the iron tools are mostly little gears and screws

Yep, every tier is themed. Diamond was supposed to be the most stereotypically steampunk looking one by far of course, since they're the ones most used. They're all animated as well.

I love how they are all themed, but what is wood themed? ^6; I am confused.

and how do I make chain armour? I made diamond, iron, gold, and leather but don't recall chain

Wood is basically just random unaltered bits of junk that will probably barely work better than your bare hands.

Chain armor is uncraftable for the most part. if you have a mod that allows you to get unobtainable blocks, you can make it out of fire blocks.

Otherwise, you get it off skeletons and zombies who spawn with it.

I'm pretty much in love with this. Never before have I so wanted to use a wood hatchet.

That looks pretty awesome, especially in caves or horror/survival map's they'd sure have a nice effect

Not so much caves... Stone and ores is high on my list of things that really need to be redone, but i plan to have some VERY fancy stone.

I will be making use of a very large repeat ctm sheet for the stone.

Repeat ctm allows for a single very large texture to be repeated over an area of many blocks, rather than just one texture per block. This means it will appear smoother. I'm planning some interesting rock formations... and of course a bit more evidence of civilizations past buried deep in the rock.
