Simply beautiful. Love the colors in her body, and the bits of text.

Beautiful piece!
What size does it have and what materials have you used?

thanks!
this one was one of the smaller pieces, it was done on aprx 6x4 piece of paper
(really old paper is my secret, it takes in material in a different way--this was from a book published in 1904)
i only used oil pastels, and a lot of liquin, for this piece.
i tried to make the textual paper more transparent (via dowsing them with the liquin), and i added the lace last (which is from one of those old-time fans--i use a lot of found objects from thrift stores in my work).

Thank you!
I may use some of your tips in the future. Have you learned all this by only experimenting or do you have someone who's teaching you?

of course you can! its not a big secret or anything...most my final work was a result of experimenting with different techniques and skills. if you look at my gallery, you can see i started off very simple, just pencil sketches of figrues, then moved onto diffrent backgrounds and drawing material (etc).
for my newest pieces, i just start a piece, and let the background inspire me as i work.
so, i guess what i'm trying to say is; just start something, use a material in a way you normally wouldnt
and i've been taking AP Art for the past two years at my hs, so raw skill-wise, i guess my teacher taught me. lol, i feel kinda bad thinking back. i was so against ever following his "darker darks, lighter lights" comments, but it really taught me how to use depth, and ultimatly draw realistically.
hmm..that was probably the tip he gave me that had the most influence
and wow! sorry, i talk a lot when i type :-p
