Description Dear reader,
Just now I was browsing files on my old computer when I came across this tutorial I made back in February of 2005. Back then I decided not to submit it for obvious reasons (it sucks), but I now see it may still be of some value to someone, so I'm up-loading it now anyway.
I want to up-load some new art. I have been working on a galaxy a little bit, after `dinyctis submitted a journal about space art. Now I didn't feel I was among the group of people he addressed in the journal, but he sparked my interest nevertheless. So hopefully I will finish that piece soon so I can show you guys.
Later

Oh yeah, if anyone's interested in a new tutorial, just drop a comment and I might consider doing another.

Going to try this method at least a few times. A new tutorial with any tips/guidance on space art would be great! And I mean ANY tips...

Maybe insight into your process?

I know there are plenty of planet tuts about, but everyone has a unique take on em (and tend to gaurd it accordingly), maybe you could highlight some keypoints you feel are essential?

Hmmmm... Thanks for those ideas. I will see if I have the time and motivation to do it. I'm too lazy
Thanks again though

Lol, i remember it took me forever to learn how to make custom brushes. I had Photoshop for a good, solid year before I finally realised that I didn't have to just rely on the provided ones ( most of which are little use for space artists ) So I drew up my own brushes from scratch overa year ago, some being blotchy, swirly or rough and though they look kinda lame as themselves, but when used in different colours and in different blending modes, I can end up creating some pretty realistic planet textures without the need for using NASA manipulations

yeah, hmmm... I don't use custom brushes that much though. I used to when I made that tutorial but never reall used any of that in space art. I don't know why not. I should try it out again. Thanks for your comment
