Both combatants were desperately focused, and neither had noticed the interloper attempting to pass into Xavier’s Magic Room. Where simpler assaults had failed, the Noibat – Claudia – rose up high into the air and flew crashing down on the top of the barrier. It broke like glass just a moment before shattering entirely, and Xavier’s pupils constricted as the destruction of his psychic creation signalled the destruction of his concentration.
