Very nice skin. This is probably the best Vista looking skin for Firefox that works well with 2.0, and it also does a fair job at duplicating Internet Explorer 7.
However, there are a few issues that prevent it from truly matching the IE7 appearance. I don't know if these are limitations to Firefox itself, or the theme being used.
Here is what I've noticed so far;
1. In Vista and/or IE 7 the back/forward buttons are right next to each other. There are no drop down arrows beside them as there are in this theme.
2. When you set IE7 to use "large icons" they are quite a bit bigger than the ones in this theme. It would be nice to have a variation to this theme with icons that match the "large icons" size found in Internet Explorer 7.
3. At the end of the address bar, there is a built in icon that resembles the "refresh" icon found in IE7. If you re-arrange the toolbar buttons so that it more closely resembles IE 7, then it ends up looking like you have 2 refresh buttons on the address bar.
The final two things I notice are probably limitations with Firefox itself. I am uncertain, but I've yet to find any workaround for these.
1. There seems to be no way to place buttons on the actual tab bar. In IE7 there are 2 buttons directly before the tabs on the tab bar. It also has several buttons at the far right side of the tab bar.
2. The menu bar in IE7 is beneath the address bar, but is above the tab bar. I realize with compact menu extension it is possible to move the address bar to the top. However, when you do this the menu disappears, it does not allow for moving it to a different toolbar.
That being said, this is still a great theme and one of the best for Firefox that is out there to date for Firefox 2.0. Keep up the great work!

I managed to manipulate the file to work for OSX...but do you think you can make it so that it does that funky translucent thing too? right now i only have the cool buttons but none of that clear border stuff

I hope I'm wrong but WindowBlinds doesn't work on mac. Maybe you can try ShapeShifter [link]
Sorry KingMarlebon

Hey, Be careful about who you're talking with, OK,
The link and the file work fine.
If you don't know how use it, just ask. This is not a shame to be ignorant.

I installed your theme and i find it really cool.
Just one problem though, i noticed in your screenshot that the color of the page is actually bluish, closer to the IE7 color tone. BUT when i installed this, my FF page is still grayish, only the icons have changed.
Pls. help.
Thank you!

Hi alfredluarca
I'm using windowBlinds. see above for more info and link. It make my windows XP closer to Vista.
You must to have the complete version to get the trans border.
Thank you for using Ex Aequo.

I can't even install this thing. I downloaded the .zip file, however your instructions don't make sense.
You said under Tools>Complementary Module.
I went Tools>Add-Ons>Themes tab.
It won't let me drag the .jar file into this Themes window. Please help!

Go to Menu/Tool/Complementary Module (or something like that). In the "Theme" tab, drag and drop the .jar file.
After installing complete, clic on "use this theme", and restart FF.

great skin, one suggestion though:
when the toolbar icons are set to "small icons", could you make it so that the toolbar height shrinks too? that would make it save more space. the "mostly crystal skin" does this properly.

One more thing, you need to make this a fully skinned theme like your Vista 4313, with little icons throughout the menus.
Other than that and the icon size, very nice theme!

Aero ? mean the transparency border ? If yes, it's a WindowBlinds theme, learn more here [link] screen : [link]
I hope that it's the right answer

You have to run the complete version of WB5, not the trial. And be sure your computer have the necessary ressources : 256 Mo and a good GC (128Mo minimum)
