You know those photos you have to have taken at school? Y'know, the ones with the ugly backdrops and where your mom made you wear your best clothes? That was my thoughts behind this
As soon as I saw Pre-Cal, I wanted to use a similar expression *Infinite-Reach used on his ref picture, because he looked adorable:
He just strikes me as that cute clever guy you might see around school or the library.
I really enjoyed working on this, I'm sorry it took so long to do m'dear, I explained to you my reasons already so I wont bore you with them again XD
I hope you like his little bow-tie :3 I couldn't resist

That's something I've noticed when you do your own take on other artists characters, they are all so well designed (like your OC's 
I like your reasoning for the inspiration for this pic (the school photo idea) and how you got the idea that he'd be the kind of mech who'd be seen in a library
He reminds me of a couple of characters though. Perceptor (because he's smart) and the 11th Doctor (because of his bow tie and brainy specs

Maybe because you prefer the 10th Doctor (like me) to the 11th Doctor? Though I think the 2nd Doctor had one as well
