Jack already had his ability mastered, but here he is finding he even has more control and can create a mini twister in his hand, with of course a few snowflakes thrown in
This is part of the four learning their new elemental abilities they gained at the end of my story.

Not exactly. In his movie the wind is like an invisible person. Jack communicates with it. The wind carried Jack, not Jack controlled it to carry him.

Sort of. Only Jack's can't see the wind, an imaginary friend is a person who can only be seen by the one who created them. Wind is an actual person, just not a human or a spirit, so it can't be SEEN by anyone, Jack is just able to understand and communicate with it.
