They are actually dropped in by something called a Gozanti Class Cruiser, they were what brought the AT-ATs to Hoth

Whilst I feel that it looks more in line with hunter killers from the terminator franchise, and while there isn't much obviously wrong with the size and shape with the design, I don't see how this can work in space with helicopter blades instead of a rocket thruster? Otherwise a brilliant alternative.

I imagine they wouldn't need rockets either. Just big repulsorlift units like the Trade Federation landers from Phantom Menace.

Β I really like how this design is well armed with turrets, and not the forward fixed emplacements the canon transport has! Too bad the Osprey-type props are so technologically backwards, not even the Federation could be believed to use them, let alone a society whose technology can be traced back tens of thousands of years!
Β I can understand why you wanted to do something different, but in this case, it hurts the believability of the design IMO, unless it's a niche transport designed for planets with magnetic fields where repulsorlifts won't work (that was one of the reasons the AT-PT was designed during the Clone Wars).
Β I would have just gone with a pair of retractable wings like the Lambda and Sentinel classes.Β
Β Still hope I will one day become as good a designer as you, and the modeling work was carried out flawlessly.

Like it? It's freaking hillarious! Look at those AT-ATs holding up their legs. Now this is AT-AT Dropping!

Also it does not look fit for Space travel.( which isn't a bad thing!)

I agree with Cameron, As the Original AT-AT transport was cheaper and had less defensive capability, Β i could see this coming into play after as it carys 2 AT-ATs but also has what looks like two heavy blaster cannons on the nose. Β

I have a feeling that this AT-AT transport model would be designed by Rothana Heavy Engineering after Incom Corporation discontinued all Imperial manufacturing in favor of the Alliance to Restore the Republic.

Great picture btw and cool concept

cool design, but this would be the 1st time we would see the empire use prop fans as a means to achieve flight

I'd be another one who say this is cool as an idea and how you've carried it out but the prop system is out of place the magi-tech Star Wars setting.
Oh and really like the legs, they look like they've fold up for the flight and are now preparing for landing.

This is great, but i think the actual transports are more practical, since they're just big blocks of armour lol XDΒ

The actual transports are Gozanti not the big trapezoid. Those things didnβt do anything except be a target. The Imperials used Gozanti on Hoth because they are effective

YOU FOOL
THERE ARE NO PROPELLERS IN STAR WARS
WHY WOULDN'T THEY JUST USE REPULSORLIFTS?!
(still a pretty darn good drawing)

You may already know this, but back in the day there was a Star Wars vehicle encyclopedia that included specialized drop ships for delivering AT-ATs to the surface of a planet. Β
