Today is the first of August. MY MONTH. Had to do something quick to acknowledge it...I am...inexplicably excited about my own birthday approaching. What is wrong with me?Ink, brush, end of a ball cap, twig, sharpie pen, some fingerpainting and a very large black marker on bristol.

Being a Lion is fun!!! i was supposed to be a crab but my stubborn side kicked in and i didnt budge.
and I adore this one!
also twigs and fingers are the best fun to draw with ink in..... i gave the boys at uni a heart attack when i whipped out a tampon one arvo and played with it, it makes rather interesting stamping shapes.... though absorbs too much to be really useful. BUT YAY FOR EXPERIMENTS!!!

HAHAHAHAHA. A tampon?! That's awesome. I would have done that specifically to make everyone around me uncomfortable and then only secondly as a real experiment.

Hahahaha, Goliath once found my little tin box that I have all of my "tools" in...There are sponges, and papers, and sticks, and salt, and liquid latex, and various brushes in degrees of disintegration (which make incredible effects), and even rocks for a sort of stamping, and bits of cloth, and...

I SO WOULD. In fact, I saw the UP house yesterday. They built a replica in the city and Goliath and I went to go see it. I actually showed Jas a picture last night .

august is AWESOME! it is also my birthday month, the 12th of august to be exact.
and there is nothing wrong with being excited about birthdays because, damnit, they ROCK. a whole day to celebrate you in your youness. Sometimes, you can be soo awesome, you need more than just one day to celebrate!!

Yet, if anything, it's even more a reason to celebrate, since you've made it past that ridiculous "expiration date"

Hahaha, I remember my 21st. "Goliath" and I went out to dinner (in those days we were so poor going out to dinner was a huge luxury) and he told them I was turning 21 and I said NO (because I don't drink), but the waiters insisted anyway and they spiked my drink and every drink I ordered afterward...as if I wouldn't be able to tell the alcohol going up my nose or burning down my throat.

I am going to have one drink with my friends. I told them I would as long it was something wimpy and fruity. I don't like the very idea of alcohol. I can't stand being around people who have been drinking a little too much. And the smell? GAG! I'll stick to the fruity things now and then.

I'm actually glad the waiters did what they did. It is a sort of rite-of-passage. I've not had a drink since, but I definitely think of my 21st birthday and grin at the memory of breaking my own rule for the sake of breaking it that once.

Well I won't be going out( as far as I know lol) and my friends know better than to spike my drinks, so I don't think I have to worry about that. XD I will probably drink after this every once in a while, but not enough to get drunk.
