So for the April Appreciation month being held by #deviantHEART , we're supposed to upload something we appreciate in our lives every day for the month of April.

My appreciation for the day? That smile.

That's John, one of the players on one of the pro-hockey teams I photograph. He has an endearing habit of looking directly into your eyes, flashing that brilliant smile, and then averting his eyes again. Towards the end of the season as he came off of the ice one night, I decided to take a spontaneous shot ... and he saw my camera, flashed that smile and then dropped his eyes as always.
